Thresholds

Priority employee entitlement threshold

Where a business is sole trader or partnership structure (i.e. not a corporate structure), any employee of a bankrupt has a maximum priority threshold claim.

The Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) updates the indexed amounts each financial year. Currently these employees are limited to a priority payment (or claim) of $5,300.00.

Updated each financial year. For further and most up-to-date amounts info, check AFSA.
